Are You Using Your Voice?

Are You Using Your Voice?

HAPPY MONDAY LADIES!

How are we feeling this week?

This week we are talking about how important it is for us to USE our voices.

Using your voice and speaking up is incredibly important in every aspect of your life.

Here are some empowering reasons why:

Empowerment: When you use your voice, you empower yourself. It’s a reminder that you matter and your thoughts, feelings, and desires are valid.

Setting Boundaries: Speaking up helps you set healthy boundaries in your relationships, whether it’s in your personal life or at work. It shows that you respect yourself and demand respect from others.

Authenticity: Your voice is a powerful tool to express your true self. Being authentic attracts people who appreciate and connect with the real you.

Clarity: Communication is key in any relationship. By expressing yourself, you avoid misunderstandings and create a clear path for connection.

Confidence: Every time you speak your truth, you boost your self-confidence. It’s a positive cycle that makes you feel stronger and sure of yourself.

Advocacy: Speaking up is essential for advocating for your needs, dreams, and goals. Your voice can be a force for positive change.

Self-Respect: Using your voice is a sign of self-respect. It tells the world that you won’t settle for less than what you deserve.

Inspiration: Your words and actions can inspire other women to find their voices and use them too. It’s a ripple effect of empowerment.

Remember, it’s your birthright to use your voice, in your relationships, your career, and every corner of your life.

Here is an easy way to start using your voice and get more comfortable expressing your feelings:

-Start video journaling (recording yourself vent about your day or a situation that is weighing heavy on you)

…hear me out

I use this tactic with a lot of my clients who don’t feel comfortable writing their thoughts/feelings in a journal.

What I have realized in my own experience, is that my hand (whether its typing or writing, because I’ve tried both) can NEVER keep up with my brain.

However, my voice can.

When I started video recording myself process emotions, I was amazed at how much easier it was to process things.

I also had the added benefit of being able to go back and listen to myself…hear my tone, see my facial expressions, read my body language.

As a result, I got to know myself so much better.

Dare I say, started to like myself more 🙂

This is why I recommend my clients video their ‘journal’ sessions instead or writing.

It’s also why I love using a video chat app for extra support in between sessions.

Sometimes this is where the real work happens…everyday life where opportunities arise to integrate the change that we want in our lives.

Something that happens when you video journal is that you get PRACTICE using your voice. You get comfortable saying how you feel, out loud.

You start with yourself so you can eventually share it with others in your life.

After all, everything begins with YOU.

I encourage you to just try it out and see how you feel after.

*PRO TIP– save these videos in a ‘hidden’ album. If you’re not sure how to do that, just google instructions.

If you try it and you’re willing to share, I’d love to hear how it felt.

With so much love,

Charli
