How did I get here?

How did I get here?

Hey Hey Ladies!

Thanks for coming along with me on this journey. I thought I’d give you some back story on how I got here.

So back in 1986, my mom and dad…

I kid, I kid

I’ll skip ahead…

I remember in college, being so confused and lost on what I was going to do forever. Who the hell really knows? It’s kind of like getting married, you just hope you pick a good one and that it all works out…right?

I decided on Professional Communication and Psychology. Who can’t benefit from talking and psychoanalyzing…I mean come on. I just assumed I would go into advertising or sales, like my mom, and everything would work out.

WRONG

Turns out I’m a terrible salesperson. It gives me outrageous anxiety and I hate asking people to buy something I know they don’t need. I was so anxious. I was drinking and smoking almost every night…which could have been cool for my age if I wasn’t doing it completely alone.

So, after a few ‘career’ changes and a few more moves, I decided to go back to school for nursing. The funny part of this decision is that almost every single one of my girlfriends went to nursing school and I thought “oh I’m going to do something way cooler.” The joke was on me.

If only I would have figured this out for the first degree, I wouldn’t have wasted all that time. The full circle moment was when I realized that none of that time was wasted, it was my journey to get here.

On with the story…

So, I went to nursing school. It was the most time consuming, challenging thing I’ve ever done, so far.  I went into Labor & Delivery immediately after graduating, and I knew right away I had found my place… that ‘place’ would evolve over time, but my place was always meant to be helping women. I’ve never felt more alive or in alignment like I did supporting and encouraging those women in some of the most profound moments of their lives.

Priorities changed when I had our daughter and took that time to be home with her and to this day I miss working in Labor & Delivery, almost every day. I always felt profoundly grateful to witness this special moment in their lives.

Stay at home moms…where you at? That shit was the HARDEST thing I’ve ever done. EVER! After two years I was itching to get out of the house, and the bedside nursing schedule would be almost impossible to swing with our new family dynamic. My husband has been an entrepreneur his entire adult life, so I started picking his brain…and boy did he delivery some great ideas.

Cutting to the chase…

I started, what was supposed to be a side hustle, with my ‘sisterwife’ Michelle. The next three years felt a lot like whiplash. 60-80 hours a week of building a business is hard to describe. Everything else was put on hold… our life, our family, our relationships…everything.

I LEARNED SO MUCH. I’ll have to do a separate email to go into all of that.

The point is, I learned how to build a business and how to make it successful. We sold our business in 3 years. I’m not sure I can fully articulate what that success felt like. I’m still processing it all, to this day.

I found myself soul searching what the next move was, and I immediately went back to my number one passion: Supporting Women. This time, instead of at the bedside, in a nursing environment, I want to help women is all the areas of their lives.

I went back to school and got certified as a Sex and Relationship Coach. I learned so much about supporting women in their relationships and sex lives. I combine this knowledge and my own experience to help support you in all areas of your life.

I want to help women, of all ages, unlock their true potential, overcome challenges, and embrace a life filled with purpose and fulfillment.

I do this by creating a safe and nurturing space where you can explore your dreams, start to conquer your fears, and cultivate more self-confidence.

I tell you all of this, so you know how I got here, in the cliff notes version.

I want to support you in whatever way I can.

With so much love,

Charli
