What’s up Ladies!
Who needs a date night?? 🙋🏼♀️
This week we are giving tips for a date night for you ladies who can’t get a sitter or who don’t want to spend a ton of money.
SET THE SCENE:
–Kids to bed, as early as possible (if kids wake up, take turns putting them back to bed and resume immediately after)
–Caffeine later in the day to stay awake 🙂
-Order dinner in (something that makes you feel good, not bloated overly full, my go to is sushi) & set up the table with candles and the fancy china OR set up a floor picnic
-Plan cocktails/wine (if you drink) – use the nice glasses
-Dress like your out on a casual date (NO sweats/athleisure/pj’s)
–NO devices – seriously put them in another room
-Conversation Cards
CREATE CONVERSATION BOUNDARIES:
My encouragement is NO conversations about:
-Past arguments
-Parenting/kids
-Family drama
-Work
*Try to make the conversation about the two of you as individuals and as a couple
This will get easier with practice. Conversation cards are helpful.
Convo Starter examples:
“What goals do you have for yourself? How can I support you to achieve them?”
“Share one thing that I have done this week that has made your week better?”
“Tell me about the family you imagined creating when you were young?”
GRATITUDE:
Speak gratitude to each other – make it specific to how they/you show up as a partner.
INTIMACY:
If you’re having some mental blocks about intimacy, try reading an erotic novel or wearing a sexy lingerie.
I hope these tips help you plan an amazing date night at home with your partner. We all know how easy it is to fall out of touch when life gets in the way and we have to be proactive to stay connected.
With so much love,
Charli
