Welcome back, Hype Squad!

I have someone truly inspiring to introduce to you all—Nya Gordon.

Nya is a licensed realtor, financial mentor, and entrepreneur on a mission to help young adults build wealth through real estate and financial literacy. As the founder of Fine Finances, Nya empowers others with the knowledge and confidence to take control of their financial future.

I first heard about Nya from my friend Jasmine, who couldn’t stop raving about an insightful financial planning talk Nya gave to her sorority. From the first moment of our conversation, I was hooked on Nya’s energy and passion for making financial knowledge accessible to everyone, especially those who might not have had the opportunity to learn such vital skills at an early age.

The Journey to Fine Finances

Nya started her company, Fine Finances, about three years ago. She was motivated by the realization that not many people around her, especially those who didn’t attend college, had the knowledge needed to manage their finances. Guided by the skills she learned from her mother, a credit repair agent, Nya entered adulthood with a 750 credit score. This experience ignited a passion in her to create a safe space where people could learn how to manage their money in an approachable and fun way.

Breaking Down Financial Barriers

Talking about money can be uncomfortable, especially for women. Nya believes that financial literacy is a superpower and wants to empower all of us with the tools to manage money wisely—from buying real estate to planning for retirement. It’s all about transforming apprehension into empowerment, giving us the confidence to ask for a raise, budget effectively, and make informed financial decisions.

Budgeting with Intention

A major hurdle that Nya sees in her practice is the struggle many people face living paycheck to paycheck. Her advice? Break your expenses down, categorize them, and track them meticulously. She encourages a mindset shift from saying “I’m broke” to asking “How can I afford this?”—an approach that aligns with changing our narrative to promote an abundance mindset.

Embracing a New Mindset

Nya’s Budget Bootcamp is an empowering tool to help people grasp the basics of budgeting, boosting credit scores, and setting the stage for homeownership. The bootcamp emphasizes understanding where your money goes and encourages participants to adopt positive affirmations about their financial potential.

Sharing the Wealth

With a dedication that spreads beyond her immediate community, Nya’s future plans include outreach programs at high schools and workshops for younger audiences, paving the way for a generation that is not intimidated by financial discussions but is empowered by them.

Celebrating Progress

One of the most powerful parts of my conversation with Nya was recognizing the importance of acknowledging and celebrating our financial milestones—no matter how small. By voluntarily putting ourselves in spaces where we can learn and grow, we’re already taking bold steps toward redefining our financial futures.

Nya’s blend of passion, knowledge, and genuine care makes her an inspiring figure and an invaluable resource for anyone looking to take charge of their financial journey. I personally walked away from our conversation feeling more hyped and informed, and I hope you all feel the same!

Thanks for tuning in today. As always, be kind to yourselves and remember—empowerment begins one informed decision at a time.

With so much love,

Charli
